Cambar Solutions' History
In the late 1970s, we developed a mainframe application to automate the management of distribution functions. Cambar Software was born in 1981 to fulfill an industry-wide demand for robust, advanced information technology. The resulting enterprise software solution was ultimately introduced to the commercial market as an order management solution known as Cambar Control.
The company soon added a platform and database independent solution calling it Cambar Software’s Warehouse Management Solution (WMS). WMS became an early leader in the warehouse management software space for the distribution and manufacturing industries.
